Goose Rocks Beach Family Photography

I met the Crane family at Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine for family portraits. I had never been here before, but I will definitely be returning again very soon! There are just a few things to know before you visit this quaint little village area by the ocean, and I will share them here with you! I know many people search the seas high and low for a beautiful place to spend time with family, as well as places and locations for portraits!

Parking at this beach is very limited, and a parking permit is required for all. You can obtain a parking permit for a $25 / day pass, or free after 6 PM. This 3-mile stretch of white sand beach offers beautiful views of Goose Rocks and Timber Island. This small area does not have many options for food or services, but Tides restaurant is just across the street for upscale sandwiches and lobster rolls.

This was a 3 generation family session including the grandparents, their sons with their wives, and their grandchildren. So we had a lot of different photo combinations to do, which was so much fun! I do posed and unposed photography with clients, and this group preferred the posed photos. In the background of some photos, you can see boats out in the water, and birds flying around, it was also perfect weather for us too!

Would you recommend this beach for family photos to others in search of a pretty location?
