Fun Family Photographer in Maine! Family photos just aren’t like they used to be. Not for me anyway! Growing up, family photos meant going to the studio out of town and sitting in awkward poses on uncomfortable stools. Sitting stiff and still in front of a blank backdrop, it just never felt authentic. Family photos with Breezy Photography are the opposite of this experience!

Fun family photos include being silly, swinging on blankets and lots of tickles! This family surely enjoyed their time doing just that with each other! In doing these activities, we can capture authentic emotions and real moments as a family. I really loved that we took these on the family property, so these photos will mean that much more in the future!

I first photographed this family four years ago in 2018, and we had so much fun then, I knew this time would be even better! I was worried that we were past peak fall leaves and that the environment might look a little bland to say the least. But after driving around a little bit and the help of the golden hour sun, these spots ended up being perfect! And something I say often, is it isn’t about the location of the photos, but the people in the photos and the emotions they are feeling too.

Golden hour really showed up for this session and I am so happy about that! I am a true light chaser and when the sun is setting, I love how it hits everything and how much the mood in a photo can change so much just by moving yourself from one spot to the next.

A tip to create more fun family photos is to include games, activities and lots of silly prompts. The less serious you are, the more relaxed people feel around you as a person first.
