The greatest way to elope in Maine is to do it in Acadia National Park. And this is the greatest way to marry in my opinion! No matter what the weather or season, Acadia is the perfect place to do so! These two made the decision to cancel their big wedding plans and move to an elopement here in Maine! I was so honored to have been able to document this special day in their lives! We met at Sand Beach and did a quick first look and formals with a few of their friends and family. The beach was pretty empty and there was NO wind! Usually, when you visit Sand Beach, there is always company! It was amazing! Nothing beats the sounds of the waves crashing out there without any noise pollution. Next, we went to Thunder Hole and grabbed some more shots there along the rocky coast. Kyla had a look on her face like she wanted to do something unforgettable. She grabbed Andrew and they started to climb the rocks up a cliff right there. It was stunning and my photographer eyes were so happy I just kept directing and shooting.

Next, they went to the top of Cadillac Mountain to elope. Being a Maine Wedding Photographer, this is always my top choice for a day at work! They drove further up the mountain and then could see less and less of the views due to more heavy fog moving in. Kyla was a little disappointed, as I’m sure she had different visions of how her ceremony would look at the top of Cadillac Mountain. But as a photographer, I knew it would be beautiful and unforgettable regardless.

We arrived at the top of the mountain and it was the foggiest I’d ever seen. Everyone got out of their cars and made their way to the top of the path. They started the ceremony, and it was completely silent surrounding them. No wind. No people around. It was a little chilly for them but not me. The ceremony was beautiful, full of emotion and very special! Afterward, they drove back down the mountain and stopped at an old building for a few final shots with friends and family. Acadia National Park Elopements are the way to go! Highly recommend!!

Brianna has such a sweet, kind and funny demeanor, she immediately put me at ease as soon as she appeared at my front door. As a photographer myself, I'm very uncomfortable having my photo taken, but I trusted her sensitive eye to capture my dog and I. What surprised me most was that I actually had fun while being photographed! Brianna alleviated all my stress from the get-go, so I just got to relax and hang out with my dog, and it just so happened she was making beautiful portraits at the same time! My dog passed away around a month after Brianna visited our home. Bree hands down is the best photographer in the area, she is so easy to work with and to communicate with. She also is not only there to take pictures but she joins in on the party and gets the best reactions and smiles out of everyone. My mother has passed and always said she would come back as a dragonfly, during my father daughter dance a huge dragonfly flew in and circled us a few times before it flew out. Neither Bree or I saw it but she told me she would hopefully find it in the pictures. She did not find it in the pictures during the dance but sure enough she found one during the ceremony next to my father. It is proof that my mother most certainly was there and I will always cherish that picture. My family and I will only use her for family pictures going forward and will continue to recommend her.
