Berwick Maine Wedding
This is the Berwick, Maine wedding of Kayci and Mitchell. They got married at Hackmatack Playhouse. Somewhere I have never photographed before, so I was so excited to be somewhere new! I had NO idea how much fun this wedding was going to be to photograph!
Kayci and her bridesmaids got ready and did their finishing touches in this beautiful Hollywood-style dressing room. We did a first look with her mom and grandparents here. They also got plenty hydrated before going down the isle 😉
When we started outside for the ceremony, we had a live musician playing music. The bridal party made their way down Persian rugs, and it was so beautiful as you can see.
We held a moment of silence for Captain Joel Barnes, a hero.
The love between Kayci and Joel was ever present and big. And the love their families have for each of them and each other was just as strong and obvious. These two were made for each other and had waited a long time for this moment. It was an honor to be present and document for them.
After the ceremony, we took formals and had some fun chasing beer cans, managing to avoid any major injuries or wardrobe malfunctions.
Once the bridal party was announced, the couple had their first dance surrounded by fog under their lit up name sign. The dances with parents followed, and there was not a dry eye in sight. It was very emotional for all. And the epic speeches followed. It was a wonderful celebration!
Afterwards, dinner was served by Roadside BBQ.
After dinner, as the sun was setting, I noticed BISON up on the hill across the field. We RAN across the field AND hiked up a hill and ran some more, to pose in front of the fence with the bison in the background. I just couldn’t imagine how many people do not get the opportunity have photos with Bison on their wedding day. They are part of the Hackmatack Farm.
On the way back to the venue, Kayci asked it she could flash me, and then Mitch joined her, and it was the greatest and most epic moment of my life!
After this, we danced the night away and the couple even did KEG STANDS!!!
This was by far one of the greatest weddings I have ever photographed with so many epic moments!
