Aragosta at Goose Cove Wedding
Lauren and Josh were married on the coast of Maine in a private ceremony on Saturday the 19th of October 2019. The weather could not have been more perfect. I spent a little bit of time with Lauren and the ladies as they did their finishing touches at Lauren’s dad’s home. I was directed to a loft area where I got right to work on the small details and was given a hammer and nail by Lauren’s mom to hang the dress where I needed to, which I was so happy about. Lauren wore Sperry boat shoes not only because they are comfortable, but because she is of a boating family as are most of her friends and family, so it only made sense. Once everyone finished up with hair and makeup, they made their way up to the loft area where she put on her dress and jewelry. The moment Lauren was completely ready, tears fell. It was real at that moment for her, and her ladies as well began to cry. Shortly after, it was time to do a first look with Josh privately. He waited for her on the porch as she approached him, tapped him on the shoulder, and he turned and his face lit up. He was overwhelmed with love and excitement to finally be marrying his best friend on this day. They spent a few moments together as they soaked in what was about to go down as they had planned for a very long time.
After the first look, the entire wedding party packed up into a pink limo and headed to the ceremony location. This was also where I took some of Lauren and Josh’s engagement photos as well. Everyone took their seats onlooking the water and watched as Lauren was walked down the aisle by her father. She totally lost it and was in complete disbelief as she made her way towards Josh, I could hear her sobs and I could feel her emotions, it was so special to witness the rawness of the moment. As the two said their vows on the water in front of a small group of their closest friends and family, two became one, they were married.
After the ceremony, everyone loaded up and drove to the reception at Aragosta. When we arrived the room was bustling and full of joy and excitement, everyone was so excited to be there celebrating with the couple on their big day. After some snacks and a couple drinks, Sara made her maid of honor speech and ended it with reminding Josh that even though they were married this day, the two girls were still wifey’s for lifey. Soon dinner was served and the evening shifted into more celebrations and emotions of happiness and love. The dances were packed full of emotions and raw feelings on the dance floor and there was not a dry eye in the room for each one. It was my honor to witness and document this big day for Josh and Lauren.
