2022 Wedding Photography Inspiration

Searching for wedding photography inspiration? Great! This post is just for you! Whether you are getting married this year or in a few years, hopefully, these photos will help you envision your big day even better! Sometimes couples think it’s okay to make a list of photos and give it to their hired photographer, but I am here to tell you that is not what you should do. From a professional photographer’s standpoint, these kinds of lists slow us down, and they make our work less art and more staged and stiff. With the exception of family formal lists, of course, use the following wedding photos as just a way to envision things on your big day. Do not send this to your photographer to try to recreate shots.

When you think of your big day, what do you see?

Some people envision an urban space for their photos, and others love to see how other photographers see and document weddings from their individual and unique perspectives. Some photographers work in a more whimsical and artificial style and others, such as myself, are more raw and authentic in documenting weddings. 

Look at this collection of photos for ideas on your wedding day.

Some people enjoy more posed wedding photos and others are more into unposed, natural photos of couples on their wedding day. Sometimes, knowing which is preferred is helpful for your photographer to know before they photo you as to know how to best work with you in a way you are more comfortable in. I call this posing vs prompting. You could also be a fan of both equally!
